A I don't think he is ugly at all. That's how pretty much all black labs look and they are not known to be an ugly breed. I have a terrier but my next dog will be a black lab - i hear they are really fun. he/she does not look ugly at all.

This dog was waiting for my female dog to go outside. Hi came two days in a roll but my dog did not like him at all. Lol. I felt sorry for him, i dont know if hes sick, if he does not have a place to live... i was scared.

- What would be the physical differences between a boar (wild pig) bite and a dog bite. Link to photo a +. TY
I need this for part of a story I'm working on, so as much detail as possible. If you want to go into the way a boar might attack (a person) vs. how a wolf might do it, that would be helpful as well. Thank you Jim, that was very helpful. I should have been a bit more specific maybe. The situation in question is a victim found partially eaten. What would be the difference in the bite marks from that point. For example, I know carnivors often eat from the hindquarters forward. You can usuaully see dual puncture wounds from the canines. Birds start with the eyes and soft tissues. What would distinguish a pig from these other animals. Thanks again.

A A male wild hog does not bite when fighting, attacking or defending. It uses it's tusk. Like a pair of swords. Slashing and sticking. You wont find any pictures of wild hog bite. Maybe pictures of people's legs sliced open by a male wild hog tusk. I trapped wild hogs in Florida one summer for a relocation project. I've seen dominate male hogs rip other hog so badly the intestines could be seen. We had a few bleed to death. One of the most dangerous and exciting forms on hunting is going after a wild boar with a hand gun. Means you gotta get up close and personal.

- Common Mutt, or Wild Dog?
We recently adopted a mutt from the humane society. We took him to the vet and asked around. NOBODY can figure out what kind of dog he is. He has a George Clooney 5:00 shadow, amber colored eyes, webbed feet like a lab, slightly turned out front feet like a wild dog, and a super curly tail. Any suggestions would be extremely helpful. And please, I only wanna hear from people that might know what the heck they're talking about. No bs answers for points please. A It's so hard to say, but I'd vote for a pure Heinz 57 :). Seriously, when dogs are the result of several generations of random mixed-breeding, they tend to end up with a shorter, light brown coat and medium build. Look at any of the pariah (stray, semi-feral) dogs that live around various 3rd world communities, or many of the recognized pariah-type "breeds" such as the Canaan Dog, Carolina Dog, Basenji, Australian Dingo, Telomian and New Guinea Singing Dog. Canaans and Basenjis come in other colors but their most common color is a yellowish-reddish color. Nondescript pariahs that live amongst primitive and 3rd world countries all bear general resemblance to other pariahs in other areas. Generally speaking after generations of random mixed-breeding, the dog's form and type reverts back to that which is most useful for survival- brown, yellow or reddish coat that blends in with grasses and vegetation, medium size for speed, agility and less of a caloric intake need, small, often erect ears and an upright or curled tail. Not saying he's a pariah or a dingo/feral dog (doesn't quite have the look of anything recognizeable) but quite likely he's the result of a lot of random breeding. He's a pup so it's hard to say for sure- I knew someone with an Akita/Chow mix pup who looked similar to him, so I could be wrong. He might be a cross of just a couple different breeds. Time will tell....he DOES have big paws so he might end up being a bit bigger than "medium sized". Either way, he's a cutie.
