A Minature Schnoxie?!! What a hoot and a rip-off. The picture looks like a long legged wirehair dachshund. If you want a dachshund with a harsh coat, beard and eyebrows, then look at Wirehair Dachshunds. They come in Miniature and Standard. Visit the Dachshund Club of America to learn more about the dachshund http://www.dachshund-dca.org I'm sure you have a dachshund club or association in Singapore. Don't get ripped off, do your research. If you want a mixbreed, then visit your local shelters, there are tons there.

A Only way to register your dachsie with the AKC is if her sire and dam were and the breeder registered the litter and gave you the form to register your dog. If you don't have that, no way. If you got the dog from some private breeder who "registers" her dogs with the CKC (Continental Kennel Club in the U.S.), that is a con registry used by byb and puppy millers. CKC would register a blind pig as a dog breed if you paid the fee, so it's worthless. There's no need to register your dog unless you plan to show her in AKC matches, so enjoy your dog, I'm sure she's adorable (I have 5 dachsies and rescue and foster dachshunds for our breed rescue) and you don't need "papers" to prove she's a real dachsie and good looking. Just enjoy your dachsie, take good care of her, and you'll have a great companion for her lifetime. Most of the dachshunds we take in don't have any registration papers, doesn't matter, a dachshund is pretty obvious, no other dog looks like them and pets sure don't need "papers" to prove they're wonderful.

A A dog her size or a dog slightly smaller, because if you breed her with a dog to big the puppies will be to big and she will either need an operation to get them out or she will die. :D goodluck and if you do breed make sure they find good homes and don't go to the pound.

- Medium vs Large Breed Dog Food + Senior Food?
I have an approximately 4 and a half month old Lab/Beagle mix (best guess from many anyway). Here's some pics if anyone wants to see her :) -> http://www.flickr.com/photos/22570284@N05/ I got her from a shelter and she was being fed Pro Plan and I kept her on that. However, I've been doing more and more research in the past couple of months and made the decision to switch her over to a high quality food. After some thorough research (dogfoodanalysis.com being one resource I checked), I chose Solid Gold Hundchen Flocken Puppy. It's listed as being for small and medium breeds. She's 28 pounds now and the estimates from others is that she may be 45-50 pounds (she's a mutt so who knows) - the higher end of a medium size dog. My trainer thought being on a large breed food would be good for her just from the lab in her. Solid Gold's large breed puppy food is the bison but I think the lamb would be better for her as she has proven to have a bit of a sensitive stomach so far (continued below) I did email Solid Gold as well and they seemed to think either formula should be okay for her. I plan on conferring with my vet as well but a little leery as they sell Purina and Science Diet in their office and have even recommended Science Diet on occasions (of which I always pass). Anyway, does anyone feed their puppies the Hundchen Flocken formula even if they're going to be a little bigger than what is considered a true size small or medium breed? If so, do you add any additional supplements to their diet? I also have two senior dogs - 10 years old and 14 years old - who have been on Pro Plan Selects. They honestly haven't had any ill effects on this food and have both been doing great….But I also want what is best for them. Would it be a big deal to switch over to a new food at this point? It doesn't matter to me what specifically she is mixed with as I love her regardless but there is definitely some curiosity. In regards to my seniors, they are the senior formula of Pro Plan Selects and have been for quite a long time, just wanting to switch them to a premium high quality food. In regards to her breed - Beagle was just a guess from our vet, our trainer and a couple of people in passing. The shelter didn't have too much information on her except they got her when she was born (abandoned) and had to be in foster care until she was old enough to be adopted. So I guess it's anyone's best guess as to what she is :) I guess the food for all life stages of a dog works pretty well with no problems? I sometimes read arguments that food needs to be puppy specific, adult specific, etc.

A I don't see any beagle either. I see Lab and maybe Shepherd. I also recomed Canidae but not the all life stages. I prefer the Lamb and Rice. 2 of my Golden did fine on the all Life Stages but my pup has a allergy to the Chicken and Turkey in it. I switched over to the Lamb and Rice for all 3, now every one is doing great on it. I don't like the large breed formulas they ten to be too high in protein and they have way to many fillers for my liking. As long as you keep the protein down for your pup to allow him to grow slowly then your fine. Canidae also makes a Senior dog food too. Take a look at their web site and see what you think. - What breed is my puppy, and how large will he be [see photo]?
I adopted a puppy (Moo) 2 weeks ago from a local shelter. The people there said he was 8 weeks, so now he's 10 weeks old. He is 10 pounds. I'm trying to figure out A) What sort of mix he is and B) How large he might get. The photo here ( http://www.flickr.com/photos/emilyfuggetta/4374027599/ ) shows his brothers and sisters and him. He is the one outlined in green. To me, the siblings look like goldendoodles or something, but he looks like some sort of Pekingese/terrier or something. I've heard that dogs from the same litter can have different fathers. Does anyone have an idea about him? What does that mean, I'm an ultimate troll? I assume you mean "you're," so what does that mean? ^^^That detail was in response to someone spamming answers, but I didn't know that at first. Ignore it! :) Also, he's obviously not the dog in my profile photo. That's my princess Tina, a pit bull. Thanks for answering!

A If he is 10 lbs at 10 weeks he's bound to get a lot bigger then a pekingese/Maltese mix (which would be lucky to get to 10 lbs full grown). He looks a little lab like to me, which would explain the larger size. I have a cockerspaniel poodle mutt and she is only 13 lbs at 2-3 yrs. Mixed breeds' fur can sometimes vary a lot depending on the mix, and as they age it can change as well.
